I was born in Huancavelica, Peru, a city surrounded by the Andean mountains in one of the poorest regions. Its physical and social landscapes continue to shape my artistic vision. I began painting as a child, finding in art a natural way to observe and interpret the world. Although my professional path led me toward economics rather than a traditional artistic education, my passion for painting has remained a constant presence.

Working across watercolor, gouache, and oil, my work is deeply influenced by my origins and enriched by my travels and encounters with different cultures. These experiences inspire visual narratives that explore social inequalities, childhood, cultural heritage and identity.

I am drawn to everyday moments that reveal the harsh realities of life, particularly those experienced by children and vulnerable groups. Having grown up in Huancavelica, I know firsthand how challenging it can be to break the cycle of poverty.
